My name is Nifemi Adeoye and I am currently a second-year Bachelor of Health Sciences (Honours) Student at Queen's University in Kingston, Ontario pursuing a specialization in Global and Population Health. I was born in Lagos, Nigeria and immigrated to Ontario at three years old. My childhood weekends consisted of hours in the library that cultivated my love and thirst for knowledge and learning.

My research activities thus far have centred around a statistics-focused approach to epidemiological genetics, but I am deeply passionate about preventative research and care, especially for women, children, and immigrant communities. My goal is to combine public health principles with epidemiological research to understand the interplay between maternal and child health within the scope of genetic and infectious diseases. Outside of academia, I enjoy being an amateur movie critic, makeup artist and chef!
