Akshaj Darbar

I am a Biomedical Computing student at Queen's University entering third-year this Fall. I am very passionate about exploring the use of novel immunotherapies in a cancer-prevention strategy, as well as researching the science of ageing and human longevity to prevent the onset of age-related disorders. This summer, I will be working at SickKids Hospital under Dr. Reto Baertschiger to investigate tumor microenvironments in pediatric hepatoblastomas and Dr. David Malkin to investigate the genetic landscape of Li-Fraumeni syndrome, a pre-cancerous condition.

I am also an Undergraduate Researcher at the Rauh lab @ Queen's, exploring the epigenetic profile of a pre-malignant condition, and co-founder of Biotein, a youth-founded longevity startup working on a proactive, saliva-based cellular health test.
