Temerty Faculty of Medicine Awards

1. Graduate student in the Temerty Faculty of Medicine who is studying in the area of pain and working with a member of the University of Toronto Centre for the Study of Pain.

2. Second preference would be given to a graduate student in the University of Toronto who is studying in the area of pain and working with a member of the University of Toronto Centre for the Study of Pain.

Preference will be given in the following order:

1. Graduate students supervised by faculty members of the Division of Orthopaedic Surgery at St. Michael’s Hospital.

2. Graduate students in the Temerty Faculty of Medicine supervised by faculty members of the Division of Orthopaedic Surgery.

Graduate students studying Haematology and Oncology whose supervisors are members of the Temerty Faculty of Medicine

The Queen Elizabeth II Graduate Scholarship in Science and Technology (QEII‐GSST) program is designed to encourage excellence in graduate studies in science and technology. The program is supported through funds provided by the Ministry of Training, Colleges and Universities and funds raised by the University of Toronto from the private sector. Interested applicants are encouraged to review all of the information on SGS' Queen Elizabeth II Graduate Scholarship in Science & Technology​ web page and contact their graduate unit to determine the unit's internal submission deadline and process.

1. Graduate students supervised by members of the Department of Medicine involved in Parkinson’s Disease research.

2. Students working in the area of neurodegenerative disease will be given next preference.

3. Students working in the area of neuroscience research will be given next preference.

Graduate students enrolled in the Collaborative Specialization in Addiction Studies (CoPAS).

1. Graduate students supervised by faculty members in the Temerty Faculty of Medicine who are members of the Heart & Stroke/Richard Lewar Centre for Excellence at the University of Toronto.

2. Graduate students supervised by faculty members in the Temerty Faculty of Medicine conducting cardiovascular/stroke research.

3. Graduate students supervised by faculty members at the University of Toronto conducting cardiovascular/stroke research.

1. Graduate students supervised by members of the Department of Medicine involved in Parkinson’s Disease research.

2. Students working in the area of neurodegenerative disease will be given next preference.

3. Students working in the area of neuroscience research will be given next preference.

Specific Eligibility of this Award: To be awarded on the basis of financial need to graduate (MSc/PhD) students in the Temerty Faculty of Medicine who are doing research in the field of Alzheimer's disease. Academic merit will also be considered. General OSOTF Eligibility: Academically qualified students will be eligible to receive aid from U of T's OSOTF based on financial need. Students must be Canadian citizens or permanent residents and residents of Ontario as defined in OSAP (Ontario Student Assistance Program) guidelines.

Specific Eligibility of this Award: To be awarded on the basis of financial need to graduate students. First preference is to graduate students doing research in the field of prostate cancer with the Fleck Tanenbaum Chair in Prostatic Diseases. Second preference is to graduate students in the Temerty Faculty of Medicine doing research in the field of prostate cancer. Academic excellence will also be considered. General OSOTF Eligibility: Academically qualified students will be eligible to receive aid from U of T's OSOTF based on financial need. Students must be Canadian citizens or permanent residents and residents of Ontario as defined in OSAP (Ontario Student Assistance Program) guidelines.
