Why Temerty Faculty of Medicine:
The Temerty Faculty of Medicine at the University of Toronto is known for its research, education, and clinical care networks. Temerty Medicine provides unparalleled opportunities across the nation for learners like me. I have always wanted to complete my training at this institution for its prestigious reputation and its commitment to quality education across a variety of contexts and topics, and extracurricular learning.

Why this Department:
The Department of Occupational Science and Occupational Therapy at the University of Toronto marked the beginning of Canadian Occupational Therapy Education. It makes me proud to learn in the same environment that was once a home for aspiring occupational therapists since 1918! I have the privilege to receive training in this profession from a department that strives for quality education through coursework, fieldwork, mentorship, research, and from scholars that have contributed to this profession for many years.

Current Research Experience:
My passion for research remains the same since I started during the 4th year of my undergraduate degree. My research experience includes working in research labs in the Department of Occupational Science and Occupational Therapy at the University of Toronto and Rehabilitation Sciences. My current interests include occupational transitions/change/deprivation, social determinants of health, mental health, traumatic brain injury, and minority populations.

Future Education Plans and/or Career Goals:
I am currently in my second year of the MscOT program. I am looking forward to learning more through coursework, fieldwork, research, and networking with the occupational therapy community. I hope to stay involved with the Department of Occupational Science and Occupational Therapy, Temerty Faculty of Medicine, and the University of Toronto, in various contexts and capacities.
