Recent Research Experience:
Most recently, I assisted Dr. Katherine Siminovitch in the coordination of clinical research studies. These studies explored the genes and proteins involved in autoimmune inflammatory diseases such as rheumatoid arthritis, primary biliary cirrhosis, and granulomatosis with polyangitis. In this role, I enjoyed duties such as preparation of study related documents, research ethics board submissions, venipuncture, and participant recruitment and education. 

Current Research:
My current research interests are in the areas of infant and maternal health, paediatrics, mental health, and neurological rehabilitation. 

Why Faculty of Medicine:
I chose the Faculty of Medicine at UofT due to my exposure to its world-renowned excellence during my undergraduate studies. Specifically, I believe that the wealth and diversity of resources available at UofT will enhance my professional development as an occupational therapist. With leaders in education and research, the Faculty of Medicine provides opportunities to foster creativity and innovation in the field of occupational therapy. 

Future Education Plans and/or Career Goals:
Upon completion of my MScOT, I hope to enter the field as a clinician. Throughout my career, I plan to be a leader in advancing the occupational therapy profession through prevention focused research.
