Recent Research Experience
Before my graduate studies, I worked in a music-cognition lab during my undergraduate years with Dr. Mark Schmuckler. In this role, I was responsible for recruiting participants and running experiments. I also maintained the lab data and helped build a database for musical learning.

Current Research
My current research involves cancer outpatients and their nutritional status within Toronto. We aim to study the needs of the cancer outpatients and understand why they are not receiving proper nourishment despite the many resources available within Toronto. My research is more translational in nature, which means it focuses on the need of the user (patient in this case), and derives potential solutions that are directly applicable within the healthcare field.

Why Faculty of Medicine
I chose the faculty of medicine because I want my research to have a direct impact on medicine and healthcare. This faculty is at the forefront of groundbreaking health research and opens a wide array of doors and opportunities can help me reach my goal.

Future Education Plans and/or Career Goal
My future education plans include pursuing a PhD. I aim to apply my newly learned skills in translational research to my future healthcare studies in order to implement my research into the field.
