Dr. Michelle Keightley is a Clinician Scientist at Holland Bloorview Kids Rehabilitation Hospital and an Assistant Professor with the Department of Occupational Science and Occupational Therapy, Faculty of Medicine.  Dr. Keightley's research focuses on pediatric brain injury specific to the sport concussion and Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder populations.  With over 35 peer-reviewed journal articles, 28 published abstracts and over 3 million dollars in research grant funding, Dr. Keightley is considered an international leader in her field.  Dr. Keightley has been involved in the supervision of 56 students and has taught a variety of graduate level courses within the Faculty of Medicine (Department of Occupational Science and Occupational Therapy) and the University of Toronto’s Department of Psychology.  Dr. Keightley mentors her students to approach clinical practice in part, as a laboratory, where reflection and observation can be used in a systematic fashion to provide and enhance evidence-based care.
