Why Faculty of Medicine?: I chose the Faculty of Medicine because of its prestigious reputation. My supervisor, whom I get along with wonderfully, was also associated with this Faculty.
Why this Department?: I chose to complete my Master’s at RSI given that the breadth and depth of research undertaken by the department aligned perfectly with my research interests, goals, and values.
Current Research Experience: I have acquired five years of research experience through studentships, volunteering, and employment. From Feb 2016 to Mar 2019, I was employed as a Research Assistant at Ontario Shores Centre for Mental Health Sciences. In April 2019, I moved to the Toronto Rehabilitation Institute to fulfill the role of Research Analyst II in the DATE (Dementia, Aging, Technology, and Engagement) Lab.
Future Education Plans and/or Career Goals: After my Master’s, I would like to pursue my PhD at RSI and ultimately become an independent researcher with a focus on using technology to support people living with dementia.
